Volunteer Requirements
All volunteers are required to submit a Volunteer Application and complete an interview process before being able to work for the North Douglas Library District. In addition, volunteers must meet the following requirements before their applications can be accepted:

-
Volunteers must be at least 18. Those under the age of 18 wishing to volunteer must have parent or guardian approval and may fill out a Teen Volunteer Application.
-
All adult volunteers are subject to a background check before they can begin volunteering.
-
Volunteers must be able to commit to a minimum of 1 hour of work per week for at least 3 months.
-
Volunteer work is on an "at will" basis and the District has the right to terminate the volunteer's working association at any time, for any reason.
To continue the volunteer application process, please fill out the Volunteer Application and Background Check form, if applicable, and return to the Mildred Whipple Library:
Other Ways to Support Your Library

-
Participate in programs. In addition to scheduled programs, the library generally has on-your-own in-library programs each week. Ask at the desk to see what we have!

-
Fill out our surveys. Did you know the library has a feedback survey on our website? We encourage suggestions of any type - whether you have a purchase request or a program suggestion, we would like to hear about it. Occasionally we will also send out specific feedback surveys.
